Where is my Sister c

I look to the sea with waves and tears
But I do not see my sister.

Time and water have washed the day clean
I have salty memories that ebb and flow.

Tidal memories of new waves
Now in retreat, where did they go.

Day break delivers the givers
I see what can be done.

I never asked or wished for memories
They last too long.

The waves come and go
Like they have forgotten their sins.

Others die, I do not forget about the war in the east
We must make the bricks to build with what is left and with what is given.

I will fish when I can
and think about my sister and I remember.
